Russel elected president and Himika as senior vice president of BASIS

Russell T. Ahmed has been elected President of Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS), one of the leading trade organizations in the IT sector and Samira Zuberi Himika of Giga Tech has been elected Senior Vice President.

On Tuesday, The distribution took place among the newly elected executive council of the organization at the BASIS office of the BDBL building at Karwan Bazar. Abu Daud Khan of Enrout International has become the Vice President (Administration) and Fahim Ahmed of Pathao has become the Vice President (Finance).


Besides, there are other 6 directors from different companies Habibullah N Karim of Techno Haven, Mushfiqur Rahman of Advanced ERP, Rashad Kabir of Dream 71 Bangladesh, Tanvir Hossain Khan of Dimmerz Lab. Earlier on Sunday, a total of 29 candidates contested for 11 posts for a two-year term in the 2022-23 session of the organization. The panel one team got the majority in the election.

The panel won 4 posts in the general category and 4 posts in the associate and affiliate categories. On the other hand, Synergy Squad panel won 4 posts in the general category. There was no competition as there was a single candidate in the international member category.
